The Mason Girls Fastpitch Softball League offers the following team options:
08U Coach Pitch - play 10 single games (5 home, 5 away) 10U Lower A - Player/Coach Pitch - play 10 single games (5 home, 5 away); second year 10U players 10U Lower B - Player/Coach Pitch - play 10 single games (5 home, 5 away); first year 10U players 10U Upper - play 10 single games (5 home, 5 away) 12U Lower A - play 8 double headers (4 home, 4 away); second year 12U players 12U Lower B - play 8 double headers (4 home, 4 away); first year 12U players 12U Upper - play 8 double headers (4 home, 4 away)
These are all to be community based teams. Travel players are limited on Lower Division teams.
A player may not double roster in the same age division (10U Lower and 10U Upper; 12U Lower and 12U Upper). A player may not play down, they may play up an age division. Therefore a player may double roster in two age divisions. If the player that is double rostered pitches in the upper age division she is not eligible to pitch in the lower age division.
A Lower division team may not have more than four players that play travel ball. If the travel ball player pitches for their travel team they are not eligible to pitch for their Lower Division community team.
A team shall consist of players from your home school district. Those attending a school of choice must reside in your school district.
If two communities do not have enough players to form a team then the two communities may combine their players to form one team. This needs to be approved by the MGFSL Softball Coordinator.
